It is much prettier, sturdier and heavier than the plastic model, but I would not recommend it for seating large adults. I haven't had a chance to use it on a camping trip, but it worked great as an outdoor buffet table. It also came in handy when I needed a "kiddie" table for a family dinner. I found the wood is prone to splintering if it catches on clothing, but nothing that I couldn't fix with some wood glue. If you wear shorts in the summer this table is certain to produce scratches and splinters on bare legs. It's rated up to 250 lbs, but I am half that and it creaked and groaned when I sat on it! I immediately returned it--happily, i was given a full refund for this ridiculous thing. |
