I have never seen any youth pack that outdoes this Mountainsmith.The adjustments are what you'd expect from an expensive adult pack, which provide comfort and make it ride well. This little pack has many compartments, straps, zippered pouches and extras that adult packs three times the price lack. The many exterior pockets keep the kids organized and prevent them from having to dig through their pack for that flashlight, water bottle, or compass. The sleeping-bag compartment has a draw-string divider as the adult Mountainsmith packs do; a small feature that must be experienced to be appreciated. This is a pack that will certainly outlast any child's out-door adventures. When it is outgrown, donate it a local scout troop.
