I have a 48 X 40 ft deck and I put the light up on the upper deck about 20' high. The light covers the entire deck including the 28' pool that it is attached to. We hired a DJ to host one of our parties and he brought his own professional lighting equipment. He had some nice stuff, but even he was blown away by the crispness of the reflections on the deck and water. We use the sound recognition mic to run the Mystic. This is a quality piece of equipment that I will enjoy for quite some time. Buy it! This review is from: American Dj Mystic Led Led Powered Efefct Light (Electronics) Is it possible to fall in love with an inanimate object? this light is so far all that it was cracked up to be! Very bright, excellent coverage area and is constantly rotating, changing patterns and colors. My only regret was buying one for two reasons. The price went back up and it is such a great light I want a second one. They are able to master/slave with a sound activation or dmx. If you are looking for a good centerpiece or just starting to build a light setup this is a great place to start. It is strong enough and changes enough that you could even get away on a small scale of using this by itself. This is highly recommended! I will say that this is not a small light and depending on your support you may have to do some switching out or getting another stand but if you are like me there is no such thing as too many lights.
