Based on designs from Lenox artist Louise de Luyer, Butterfly Meadow's dinnerware set mixes and matches a variety of meadow scenes, each featuring a species of butterfly with a different bloom. The patterns are so delicate, yet the plates are very durable. I really liked the variety of patterns on each piece. Even the back of the dishes have butterflies. I was happy to see them at such a discount here. I noticed they are also discounted the same at Bed, Bath and Beyond and a few other places, but are much cheaper than buying them direct from Lenox, even on sale. I won't even offer steak knives when setting the table, unless my guests request them, because I know the dishes will become even more marred. I am also surprised at how easily this set chips, and the chipped edges are very sharp. I'm very careful with the set and only hand wash everything, so I'm truly shocked whenever I find a chip.
